Cadre deux vies is a stop-motion short film directed by Florian Duchassin for the May 2025 edition of Kino Lyon, where it won third place in the Audience Award. The film was later selected for the 2026 Fréjus Short Film Festival.
Inspired by the world of painting and poetic storytelling, the film is accompanied by an original score composed by MHM, with the piano at the heart of the composition — following the visual rhythm with sensitivity and intimacy.
Through the encounter of two souls and the wondrous gaze of childhood, this short film explores how Art re-enchants reality. It questions our ability to preserve the magic of this world — the kind that childhood instinctively perceives. It reminds us that poetry hides everywhere, even within the everyday, for the extraordinary is always found in the ordinary.
