Art

MHM is primarily known for his music, yet his artistic curiosity extends far beyond sound. Guided by humility and creativity, he explores a wide range of other art forms, constantly seeking to broaden his horizons and venture into new expressive territory. Through this ongoing exploration, he gives shape to a singular artistic vision — one that evolves with each new project in increasingly innovative and inspiring ways.

OVERFLOW

Inspired by the outer shadows around him and his much darker invisible inner ones, Overflow is a series of 9 monochrome digital drawings created by MHM in 2022. Though conceived several years ago, the series has not yet been unveiled. MHM continues to wait for the right form or moment through which it can truly come to life.

Together, the drawings form a single larger composition, encouraging the viewer to engage both with each individual piece and with the overarching whole. Here, the artist immerses us in an intoxicating surreal world by mixing various opposite notions. The use of black and white is then not merely aesthetic but serves to justify the author’s allegorical intentions. It also allows MHM to eliminate the distraction and complexity that color can bring and convey his message and emotion through other elements such as lines, forms, and symbols.

Notably, one of the drawings discreetly includes a portal to MHM’s next series, forming a subtle bridge between past and future — a narrative and symbolic device he often uses across his work.

PAGE VOYAGE

Entitled Page Voyage, this hybrid digital work depicts the artist himself immersed in a book. This ordinary gesture here becomes a gateway to the extraordinary, reading appearing as an act capable of suspending reality and opening up an infinite inner space.

Through the layering of photographic elements, liquid textures, and chromatic distortions, the image blurs visual reference points and creates a dreamlike atmosphere. The abstract motifs, such as the feather and the cloud, convey fleeting thoughts, while the central circle acts as a symbolic portal to elsewhere, inviting the viewer to cross the limits of the visible.

The composition belongs to an experimental approach that draws on surrealism, glitch art, and psychedelic saturation, revealing how the evocative power of stories can transform consciousness and destabilize the boundary between the tangible world and the inner universe.

A DOS PASOS DEL CIELO

A Dos Pasos del Cielo is a hybrid digital work created from a photograph taken by MHM himself in Alicante, Spain. The image unfolds like a floating vision, where perception stretches and becomes blurred. At the center, perfect symmetry asserts itself: a solitary eye irresistibly draws the gaze and acts as a silent landmark. The farther one moves from this focal point, the more the visual structure unravels. The edges expand into a controlled disorder, where forms lose their coherence and seem to drift without gravity.

The composition is traversed by a sky streaked with clouds, a suspended magenta planet, oblique lines, and saturated textures. This contrast between order and fragmentation suggests that it is often in the loss of familiar reference points that the most unexpected visions emerge—those that broaden our perspective, shift our certainties, and reveal that these new perspectives are often only two steps away, within reach for those who dare to look further.
