Au fil des cycles is a short film directed by Bruno Auguste, marking a second collaboration with MHM following Rêve de Gosse.

The film was selected for the 2025 Vallée de Chevreuse Film Festival, whose theme was Metamorphose, and the lead actor won the Best Male Performance Award there.

With this project, MHM and Bruno Auguste aimed to develop a distinct musical identity that connects all their collaborations—building on the foundations laid in their first film together—while adapting to the specific needs of Au fil des cycles.

The first part of the film contains no music, allowing silence to highlight the emotional distance between the characters. As their connection deepens, the score gradually emerges and remains present through to the end, echoing the bond that forms between them.

Presented as a seven-track album, the soundtrack features five pieces from the short film, each reflecting the emotional landscape of the main female character, while two bonus tracks further expand its musical universe. One is the music the main male character listens to in a scene midway through the film, and the other is a 16-bit reinterpretation of the end credits theme.
