For his wedding, MHM composed six original pieces, each carefully crafted to accompany a unique moment of this special day: Genesis Of A Dream for the civil ceremony, Light Upon Us and Ember Within for the church blessing, Ballet Of Birds for a waltz shared with his wife, My Special Melody for a music box created especially for the event, and Infinite Grace as a gesture of gratitude to all who came to share this day with them.
The full collection is NOW AVAILABLE ON ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS.
1/ Genesis Of A Dream
First of the six pieces composed for the wedding, Genesis of a Dream opens with strings in spiccato, setting a pointed and anticipatory rhythm that gently introduces the beginning of a beautiful event.
The piece then unfolds mainly around the sound of the celesta. With its crystalline and dreamlike tones, this instrument breathes — from the very first bars — an atmosphere of wonder and enchantment, like a prelude to all the magic to come.
Midway through, the subtle entrance of the horns enriches the soundscape, adding a touch of royal nobility to the overall composition.
2/ Light Upon Us
Second of the six pieces composed for the wedding, Light Upon Us was performed as the bride and groom entered the church.
It is built around a continuous harp line — an instrument MHM holds especially dear for its softness, clarity, and its ability to evoke the invisible. From the very first notes, the harp weaves a delicate and soothing sonic fabric, gradually layered with subtle whispers, then Gregorian voices and a female choir, lending the piece a deeply intimate and spiritual dimension.
3/ Ember Within
Third of the six pieces composed for the wedding, Ember Within was performed just after the nuptial blessing, following the exchange of rings.
Carried by slow and solemn harmonies, it evokes an inner flame — gently flickering, yet never fading.
Gradually, a children’s choir rises, bringing a final touch of innocence and purity. Through this conclusion, MHM affirms that even life becomes more serious with marriage, MHM will never lose that sense of wonder and his childlike innocence. It’s something very important to him, something he tries to nurture every day in his life, as an artist but above all as a person.
4/ Ballet Of Birds
Fourth of the six pieces composed for the wedding, Ballet of Birds is an airy, light and poetic waltz.
For this piece, the music is built primarily around string instruments, which helps preserve a deeply intimate atmosphere, true to the delicacy of the moment it was created to accompany.
Unlike a traditional waltz, Ballet of Birds does not follow a ternary rhythm. Its intention is not to adhere to the codes of a codified dance, but to evoke the freedom of movement, much like that of birds. The entrance of the voices in the final section symbolizes this moment of takeoff, when the music seems to rise as if carried by wings.
5/ My Special Melody
Fifth of the six pieces composed for the wedding, My Special Melody is a bespoke composition created for a music box specially designed for the occasion.
This music box served as the final reward in a treasure hunt hosted on the website myspecialmelody.com, which was created by MHM himself.
6/ Infinite Grace
Sixth and last piece composed for the wedding, Infinite Grace is the only one that was not performed during the ceremony.
Specially created as a thank-you to the guests, it is meant not only to express the couple’s gratitude, but also to gently extend the magic of that day on their journey home — so they might carry with them one final note of grace and emotion.
